Cuba is home for migratory birds looking for wintering grounds in lagoons, transforming the island in a privileged migratory place for birds coming from North America. Hunting in Cuba is environmentally controlled and it aims at producing shootable surplus of the game species which habitats abundant in certain zones such as lagoons and rice fields. Game management has been strictly controlled for some years to avoid overhunting and to balance the ecosystem. Aquatic species Florida duck (Anas discors) Bahamas duck (Anas bahamensis) Pato cuchara (Anas clypatea) Pato Morisco (Anas affinis) Wood ducks (Aix sponsa) In the hunting areas of these aquatic specie ,there are favorable conditions for the preference of these birds mainly because the lagoon systems, rivers channels and dams with plenty of vegetation and stability of water levels are suitable for the birds rest and refuge during their stay in the island. Besides, the rice fields provides abundant food In all the national territory there are three migratory corridors of these species that begins to arrive in early August and continue passing by until April, the frequency is better in November and March Terrestrial species Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) With-winged dove (Zenaida asiatica ) Colinos Becacinas Faraonas Hunting can be done per day, session or each hunter: 25 ducks 25 doves 5 colinos 10 becacinas Our organization offers week packages (7 nights) extended for those who wish to stay to visit Cuba or rest in its beaches. We have charter flights or airline flights from Milano Malpensa and Roma Fiumicino.
